Sunflower for Ukraine Copper PendantDiana Erickson, Artist
Sunflowers—soniashnyk in Ukrainian—have been grown in Ukraine since the mid-18th century. The presence of the sunflower in the villages and countryside of Ukraine has made it an unofficial national symbol. Throughout Ukraine’s history, the flower has been used to represent peace. All profits from the sale of these pendants through April 6, 2022, will be donated to a non-profit organization providing direct aide to Ukrainian refugees. The sunflower pendant is handmade with love in the United States, crafted from copper, backed with textured copper, and flame painted. The flower is approximately 7/8" in diameter. A leather cord is provided.
